In an exclusive first look from THR, rising actor Miles Teller (That Awkward Moment) looks bruised and leaned up for his new role as boxer Vinny Pazienza in writer-director Ben Younger’s (Boiler Room) Bleed for This. The story follows World Champion Pazienza, who after a near fatal car crash, made one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.
Also staring Aaron Eckhart (Thank You for Smoking), and Katey Sagal (TV’s Sons of Anarchy), the biopic is currently in post-production.
First garnering attention for his role opposite Shailene Woodley in The Spectacular Now, Teller continues to prove himself in the acting world. His critically-acclaimed performance in 2014’s Whiplash exhibited the actor’s developed maturity and an intensity that will most likely translate well to his role in Bleed for This. Later this year, Teller will be starring in the rebooted Fantastic Four, the Divergent series’ second installment Insurgent, and Get a Job with Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect). He is also currently attached to the Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) indie drama The Only Living Boy in New York.
