‘Scream 7’ Promises Sensational Cast And Surprising Reprisals

Scream 7, slated for release on February 27, 2026, will feature an attention-grabbing cast that introduces new faces such as Ethan Embry, Isabel May and Joel McHale to a lineup that borrows stars from several previous Scream movies.

Whereas Courtney Cox and Neve Campbell are more obvious reprisals, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley’s bizarre returns have generated discussion on how they will play into the plot after their deaths in Scream and Scream 3, respectively.

Asa Germann, best known for his role in the superhero spinoff series of The BoysGen V, is one of the most exciting additions to the Scream franchise. In a red carpet interview with Collider, Germann praised the upcoming movie.

“Being a part of the Scream movies is really one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to do. Especially getting to join it right when Kevin Williamson — the creator — took over and has now stepped in to direct the first one he’s ever done.” Germann said. “I can just say with the utmost certainty that the movie is going to deliver across the board for any fan of the Scream franchise.”

The franchise is one of the longest-running current horror series in Hollywood. After an eleven-year wait between Scream 4 and Scream (2022), the franchise is beginning to deliver more consistently for fans. And considering the commercial and critical success of Scream VI (2023), it is well worth it for Paramount to continue.
