Sarah Silverman Boards The Cast Of ‘Maestro’

Bradley Cooper’s newest directorial endeavor Maestro, the story of legendary composer Leonard Bernstein, has just welcomed comedian Sarah Silverman to the cast. Already packed with star power, the film will include talented names such as The Great Gatsby‘s Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer of Magic Mike XXL, and Stranger Things‘ Maya Hawke. Maestro is produced by massive names like Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.

Although unconfirmed, Silverman is said to be playing the sister of Bernstein, who Cooper himself will play.

Silverman isn’t exactly known for her dramatic performances, as she is a comedian first and foremost. Her acting credits showcase her much more lighthearted work, such as Wreck It Ralph and School of Rock. It will be interesting to see what she brings to the screen in such a serious film, or if the story will allow her character to provide some comedic relief to the biopic.

Netflix’s Maestro is a film co-written by Cooper with the Oscar-winning screenwriter Josh Singer and with the input from the family of Bernstein.

Maestro is currently in production and has made no announcement of a release date or a trailer so far.
