Ready Or Not star Samara Weaving just gave some insight into what the sequel, Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come, will entail.
Weaving sat down with Screen Rant’s Grant Hermanns to discuss her upcoming thriller feature, Borderline, when the conversation turned to the highly anticipated second installment. Weaving was seemingly ecstatic in her answer, saying, “I think it’s exactly what the audience will want. It’s just more, and bigger, but it’s funny, and it’s scary… I think it’ll tick all the boxes, and more. It was so much fun, I could have kept shooting that for ages. It was really good, and Kathryn, the whole cast, Elijah, everyone is just so funny and good.”
Ready or Not was released in theaters in 2019 and followed Weaving as Grace, a newlywed bride who is “forced into a deadly game of hide-and-seek by her in-laws, the Le Domas family.” While the film got mixed reviews from critics, it is on its way to becoming a horror cult classic. As for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the synopsis has still not been released, but most of the original creative team returned for the second installment, including directorial duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.
Since the original saw the demise of the Le Domas family, it makes sense that there will be new cast characters, most likely more followers of Le Bail. These fresh faces will be played by Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Néstor Carbonell, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand, and David Cronenberg.
Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come is set to release in theaters on April 26, 2026.
