When Extraction, the 2020 action thriller that graced our quarantine screens, was announced to be receiving a sequel, people were excited. After all, a film written by the Russo Brothers, the directing duo of Marvel fame, is sure to be good. And now, after six months of shooting, director Sam Hargrave has announced via a short video on Instagram the movie has wrapped filming.

Not much information is known about the plot of the film, but this may not be an issue as many fans of action flicks tend to watch the films for the explosions and fight sequences rather than the depth of the story. And suppose that is true for the fans of Extraction and its upcoming sequel. In that case, they will not be disappointed as they can expect an adrenaline-pumping scene of a helicopter landing on a moving train somewhere in the depths of snowy tundra, as revealed by its star Chris Hemsworth and Hargrave.
Surely there will be more epic sequences to follow, as Hemsworth’s character has survived getting shot and falling off a bridge in the original film, so if the Australian actor is that indestructible, one can only imagine what else is coming!
Netflix’s Extraction 2 is currently in post-production, and viewers can next anticipate a first trailer and release date, hopefully arriving soon.
