Ryan Reynolds And Randall Park Recreate Iconic Scene From ‘The Office’ in New Teaser Trailer for John Krasinski’s ‘IF’

In the latest teaser trailer for John Krasinski’s IF, Ryan Reynolds (one of the film’s stars) and Randall Park riff on an iconic scene from The Office. Watch below to see the scene play out:

For those who haven’t seen The Office, the teaser trailer is one big reference to a memorable scene from the hit show’s ninth-season episode “Andy’s Ancestry.” Jim (played by Krasinski–director, writer, and star of IF) does a prank that involves his actor friend, Park, acting as him while he is at the dentist, much to the annoyance of Dwight (played by Rainn Wilson).

First announced a little over four years ago in October of 2019, IF is a live-action animated family movie and follows Bea (played by Cailey Fleming), a girl who can see the imaginary friends (also known as “IFs”) everyone has left behind. Upon learning that her neighbor, The Man Upstairs (played by Reynolds), also has this power, they join forces to bring the IFs to their now-grownup former friends.

The film features an incredible ensemble cast voicing the IFs as well, which includes the following stars: Awkwafina, Emily Blunt, Steve Carell, Matt Damon, Louis Gossett Jr., Richard Jenkins, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Sam Rockwell, Maya Rudolph, Jon Stewart, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
