Academy Award winner Adam McKay is getting ready to direct his upcoming project. It was announced that the director has lined up an A-list cast for it, including Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr, Forest Whitaker, and Danielle Deadwyler.
The new feature by the director entitled Average Height, Average Build is starting production by late summer or early fall. In the film, Pattinson will star as a serial killer looking to change laws to have an easier way to get away with murder. For the task, he recruits a lobbyist played by Adams. Downey Jr’s role is a retired cop who is after him.
McKay is the director behind The Big Short and Don’t look Up. His work tends to tell entertaining stories that look for more profound reflections on society. This upcoming film’s tone seems similar, with a comedic premise intertwining with politics. Behind the film’s production is Hyperobject Industries, with McKay and Kevin Messick as producers.
Adams worked with McKay before in the Academy Award-nominated Vice, and this film would mark their reunion. Pattinson recently wrapped production of Mickey 17, a sci-fi thriller directed by Bong Joon Ho, and it seems like he is ready to start a new project.
