Rob Zombie Confirms Voice Role in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’

Musician Rob Zombie took to Instagram today to confirm his vocal involvement in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. He posted a picture with director James Gunn, shown below.

Gunn also commented on the news on Twitter, saying “It isn’t a James Gunn film without Rob Zombie’s voice!” Zombie voiced the Ravager’s navigation system in the first Guardians movie and also lent his iconic vocals to Gunn’s Slither and Super in the past.

Jimmy Urine, of the electropunk band Mindless Self Indulgence, will also have a role in the sequel as Half-Nut, a member of the Ravagers. Gunn’s musical reach seems to be growing even further, as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith has expressed interest in joining the Marvel franchise’s third installment, which won’t see theaters until 2020.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due out in theaters on May 5 and will feature performances from returning cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Deasel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and many more.
