Remake Of 1981 Horror Film “Possession’ In The Works

A remake of the 1981 horror movie Possession is in the works with Robert Pattinson interested in producing and Parker Finn (Smile) in directing. Pattinson has not mentioned anything about staring in the movie, only producing.

Pattinson’s involvement in the film Possession marks his second experience producing, building on his work from the 2017 short film, Fear & Shame. Through his production company, Icki Eneo Arlo, he will collaborate with Roy Lee from Vertigo Entertainment.

According to Letterboxd, the original Possession film’s plotline included, “A young woman left her family for an unspecified reason. The husband determines to find out the truth and starts following his wife. At first, he suspects that a man is involved. But gradually, he finds out more and more strange behaviors and bizarre incidents that indicate something more than a possessed love affair.” The original film was directed by Andrzej Żuławski and written by Żuławski and Frederic Tuten.

No other details have been announced for the project as of now.
