Even though production on Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse is moving forward, it still has one more schedule change it has to face before it can be released. The film has been moved a weekend forward, to release on Father’s Day weekend.

The highly anticipated Beyond The Spider-Verse is the continuation of 2023’s Across The Spider-Verse, which saw Miles Morales discover a whole society of Spider-People working to preserve a whole web of timelines. But when he learns of the heartache he’s supposed to endure, he sets out to change his own story and reclaim it for himself.

Beyond The Spider-Verse has already faced down several release date changes, but most of them have been delays. Many fans recall that the film was supposed to be out less than a year after the June 2023 release of Across. As stated, this new schedule change is one that’ll lessen the sting of needing to wait, as it will be moved up by a weekend to June 18th, 2027.

Hollywood Reporter noted that not only does this mean Beyond can capitalize on Father’s Day attendance, but it will also be able to capitalize on the Juneteenth holiday as well, which will fall on the same weekend.
