Deadline announced that Netflix and AGBO, the Russo Brothers’ production company, are collaborating to make an untitled heist movie from Emmy-winning Fargo creator Noah Hawley. The pic will star Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page.
For now, plot details are being kept under wraps for the heist thriller. The film is based on an original idea by Hawley. Producers include Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, and Mike Larocca for AGBO.
Larocca tells Deadline, “AGBO was originally founded to allow us to collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire. We are very happy to continue to fulfill that pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley and Regé-Jean Page.”
Previously, Netflix and AGBO teamed up to make the Joe Russo-written movie Extraction, which is now the streamer’s most-watched original feature in history with over 99 million households worldwide tuning in. AGBO has also recently wrapped The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and Page.
In addition to Fargo, Hawley created, wrote, and directed FX’s Legion. He made his directorial debut with the Searchlight astronaut drama Lucy in the Sky starring Natalie Portman. And his sixth novel Anthem, following up his New York Times bestseller Before the Fall, will be published by Grand Central Publishing in January.
Page is also set to star in Paramount’s upcoming Dungeons and Dragons. He received stellar reviews in his breakout role in Roots prior to Bridgerton.
