The sequel to the gay rom-com Red, White, and Royal Blue, which was a surprise hit when it released on Prime Video in 2023, has officially begun filming. The film, titled Red, White, and Royal Wedding, was officially greenlit back in October. Stars Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez are officially set to return for the sequel.
And in an official Instagram post, the stars gave details about the plot on the Red, White, and Royal Blue account. In the official sneak peek video, Galitzine and Perez gave more details about the film. The sneak peek reveals that the film will follow the leads Alex and Prince Henry, as they plan the wedding of Prince Henry’s sister, Princess Beatrice. Alex and Prince Henry won’t be getting married in the sequel, which Galitzine and Perez stressed in the Sneak Peek video, saying, “That’s a long ways off at this point.”
Currently, Galitzine, Perez, and actress Sarah Sahi are the only three actors from the first film confirmed to return for the sequel. It is currently unknown whether any other cast members from the first movie will return for the sequel.
The release date for Red, White, and Royal Wedding is currently unknown.
