According to Variety, Rebel Wilson is now set for the cast in the new romantic comedy He’s F-ing Perfect. She will join Amanda Seyfried in one of the film’s key supporting roles. For the moment, Wilson and Seyfried remain the only cast in place for the production, which does not yet have a start date.
Wilson be playing Seyfried’s friend and witty roommate whom Seyfried convinces to break up with her boyfriend – so Seyfried can date him herself. The role figures to be similar to parts Wilson played in the popular singing flick Pitch Perfect and the comedy Bachelorette. No other details about the plot (other than what we’ve already reported) have been revealed as of yet, but odds are good that Wilson finds out at some point and her friendship with Seyfried is tested. The role in He’s F-ing Perfect is the second Wilson’s landed in the past week, following the recent announcement of her inclusion in Night at the Museum 3.
Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Kevin Messick will produce this movie with Gary Sanchez Productions. Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane from Good Universe will also are also on as producers. Jake Szymanski will direct the movie, and Lauryn Kahn also wrote the script. Universal will distribute.
