Rachel Weisz to Star in Sci-fi ‘Cloud One’

According to Variety, Rachel Weisz (My Cousin Rachel) has just signed onto a new indie movie. Called Cloud One, the Goran Dukic-directed film will place Weisz into the middle of a “grounded” story in a world of science fiction. Dukic will also be pulling double duty on the movie, as he also created the screenplay, an adaptation of Israeli writer Etgar Keret’s short story.

Weisz and the rest of the cast will be on set in just a few months, but those excited for the film in the interim can soon get a taste of Dukic’s next project, American Dream, a psychological neo-noir thriller that has entered the post-production stage.

Weisz fans can also look forward to her upcoming untitled movie about James Miranda Barry, which is underway for 2018. In the movie, Weisz is set to play Barry, who lived as a male in order to obtain entrance in the field of healing, which was the only way to achieve the desired role of a physician. It looks like the talented Weisz will continue to offer up plenty of substantial roles in the next few years!
