The first film in a ten-feature genre slate from the companies Productivity Media Inc (PMI) and Black Fawn Films is It Feeds, written and directed by Chad Archibald. The film is also set to star Ashley Greene, of the Twilight Saga popularity, and Shawn Ashmore from X-Men.
Navid McIlhargey, a producer from PMI, had this to say regarding the collaboration with Black Fawn Films: “We have been aware of Black Fawn for some time and are truly excited to create this long-term partnership. This slate of genre pictures adds to the breadth of films we want to bring to audiences worldwide.” Overall, the intention with these films appears to be to allow creativity and experimentation to take focus. Archibald noted, “This slate won’t just include horror films — there will be content specifically crafted for today’s audiences, blending genres to shock and surprise viewers.”
An ironic title for Twilight fans, the general plot for It Feeds, which is currently in production, is about a girl who claims that she is being fed upon by an assumed evil entity, all the while her father (Ashmore) is in disarray. As a result, a therapist (Greene) takes it upon herself to help the girl while also struggling with her own issues.
