Producer Of ‘James Bond’ Teases The Plans For The Next 007

For eighteen years, Daniel Craig has played the charismatic and capable Agent 007 in the James Bond franchise. However, he wasn’t the first to play the titular Bond, and he won’t be the last. In the span of 62 years, there have been eight different actors in the role of agent 007, and now, with Craig retiring from the role after the 2021 film No Time to Die, people wonder who will fill his shoes.

When asked about the future of the franchise, producer Barbara Broccoli indicated that Bond would be a man, likely in his 30s, but not necessarily white. “Every time we cast a new actor, the films change. It’s the excitement of a new Bond, a new direction — Every one of these people who took on the role offered something new and different.” Broccoli told the Associated Press.

It is worth noting that not even Craig was initially accepted as Bond. He had to prove himself through his performance in Casino Royale. While we all wait with bated breath to find out whom his successor will be, Craig is less enthusiastic. In fact, when asked about who should play the next Bond, he simply replied, “I don’t care.”

There are plenty of possibilities for who could be the next 007, but for now, we must wait and see.
