If you’ve ever wondered what heavy metal music would sound like if it was produced by citizens of a war-torn country in Africa, then Death Metal Angola should be right up your alley. The documentary follows a couple who run an orphanage in Angola, and their attempts to put on a death metal concert, hoping it will bring comfort and inspiration to inhabitants of a land devastated by civil war. Death Metal Angola actually came out in 2012, but was only released in America this month. If you’re interested in this documentary – which is currently being considered for an Oscar nomination – you can currently find it on iTunes.
