Pixar Releases Trailer For New Movie ‘Elio’

Pixar has just released the official trailer for Elio. Headed to theaters on June 20th, 2025, Elio follows the story of a young boy who wants to be abducted by aliens. This boy, the titular Elio, does not have any friends on Earth, so he assumes that he will fit in with others in outer space.

In the trailer, it shows his wish finally coming true. He does get abducted. Elio goes on to meet an alien friend, named Glordon. Everything is going well, until other aliens, set on conquering civilizations, arrive. The two friends must then figure out how to stop the invasion. Elio is set to be directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina.

In addition to a trailer, Pixar also released a poster for the upcoming film. The poster, which can be seen below, depicts Elio and Glordon, running forward, showing excitement. Behind these two, we can see the name of the movie, which is just below images of other characters from the film.

Pixar has a very positive track record when it comes to their films, and the trailer for Elio seems to maintain Pixar standards. It will be exciting to see them continue their work with Elio.
