The toys are back for a brand new adventure, but one that’s their most technological yet. A brand new teaser has been released for Toy Story 5, showing just what the toys are going up against.
The teaser itself, although not even a full minute long, shows viewers just what they can expect from the fifth installment. As opposed to the usual quests Woody, Buzz, and the whole gang go on, they now have to compete against a Lilypad Tablet, a new device that could steal the attention of the young Bonnie away from the toys.
With no dialogue in the trailer from the main toys, many of the staples of the series are shown off, albeit very frightened at the concept of the Lilypad. Rex, Slinky, and Forky are all back, along with several other supporting characters. Woody, Buzz, and Jesse are back as well, even with returning voice actors Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack respectively.
Pixar regular Andrew Stanton is directing this time around, taking over from Toy Story 4’s Josh Cooley. Stanton, who has written, produced, and even acted for Pixar, will be writing as well as directing Toy Story 4. His past projects helmed for Pixar includes acclaimed films such as WALL-E and Finding Nemo.
Toy Story 5 hits theaters June 19th, 2026. Check out the trailer below.
