A fascinating new trailer has just come out for Rememory.
The praxis of the film involves an invention which can capture and remove a person’s memories so that they can fully view them and see “pure, unfiltered truth.” Though this could be healing for some, if the machine is used too much, then it can cause dangerous side effects. While the film’s premise is enabled by a device of science fiction and after the murder of the man who designed the invention, it also follows the narrative pattern of a thriller. Such a synthesis in genre allows the movie to fully exhibit an exciting and chilling final product.
There are also plenty of beloved actors in the film, creating an even bigger draw. Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) occupies a starring role, working with actors like the much-missed Anton Yelchin (Star Trek Into Darkness), Evelyne Brochu (Orphan Black), Henry Ian Cusick (The 100), and Julia Ormond (Witches of East End).
Directed by Mark Palansky, the film is also in partnership with the producers at Lionsgate. Palansky has actually directed Dinklage before, as they both worked on the 2006 movie Penelope together. While the two films are vastly different, this shows that Palanksy and Dinklage both have the ability to shine with whatever subject matter they choose.
