Paul Walker Awarded Posthumous Walk of Fame Star

Yes, that's Paul Walker. 'Brick Mansions' was one of the last films he finished before his untimely death.

In 2023, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has revealed Paul Walker will be receiving star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His Fast and Furious co-star Ludacris will also be receiving the honor, joining other members of the franchise such as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Vin Diesel in the achievement. Academy Award nominated director John Singleton, who directed 2 Fast 2 Furious, is also featured on the Walk of Fame.

Walker famously passed away in 2013 after a car crash in California. Usually the Chamber of Commerce’s standard is awarding one posthumous star every year, but this upcoming year three separate posthumous stars will be honored. In addition to Walker, Oscar nominated actress Juanita Moore and singer Jenni Rivera will also be getting their names cemented on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The three icons will join over 2,500 names across 18 blocks on both Hollywood and Vine.

While best known for his role as Brian O’Connor in the Fast and Furious franchise, Walker accumulated plenty of other roles to his name before his career was cut short. Walker can be seen in projects like She’s All That, Pleasantville, The Hours, and Takers.

Walker’s induction ceremony will take place sometime in 2023 on a date that has yet to be announced.
