Iconic paranormal investigator of the 1960s and 70s, Lorraine Warren, has passed away at the age of 92. She and her husband, Ed Warren (who died in 2006), were a duo of paranormal investigators who tackled various cases, many that would gain iconic status throughout their careers.
This news was brought to light in a Facebook post by Tony Spera who happens to be Warren’s son-in-law.

The Warrens’ many cases would go on to inspire films such as 2009’s The Haunting in Connecticut or the recently successful The Conjuring universe. In The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, and the upcoming Annabelle Comes Home, Lorraine Warren is portrayed by American actress and director, Vera Farmiga. The actress paid her respects to the investigator she has portrayed via Twitter.
My dear friend Lorraine Warren has passed. From a deep feeling of sorrow, a deep feeling of gratitude emerges. I was so blessed to have known her and am honored to portray her. She lived her life in grace and cheerfulness. She wore a helmet of salvation, she dawned her sword… pic.twitter.com/Kn2E6ZO9fL
