A number of films from Paramount Pictures that are currently in production have received release dates. Amidst the new slate, as well, some films have shifted their already scheduled release dates.
One of the biggest additions to the release slate is that of the upcoming The Running Man. The Running Man is based off of a Stephen King novel of the same name, in which a man is challenged to evade law enforcement for a reality show.
The book was adapted into a film from Paul Michael Glaser in 1987, with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the leading role. This time around, the film will be directed by Edgar Wright, with Glen Powell receiving top billing, alongside Katy O’Brian.
The Running Man is now set for a release date of November 21st, 2025. It will split the box office that weekend with Wicked: Part Two.
While Running Man’s new spin got its release date, the remake of The Naked Gun has been pushed back.
The original Naked Gun featured Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin, a lieutenant for a police squad who has a knack for getting himself into trouble. The new remake will see Liam Neeson step into the role, with Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins producing.
Hollywood Reporter notes that with the new release date of August 1st, 2025, as opposed to July 18th, Naked Gun will share the box office with Bad Guys 2 and Beneath The Storm.
