Paramount has released a new trailer for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem animated movie. Set to be released by August 2nd, a small snippet of the action-packed film was released shortly after Seth Rogan announced his involvement.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem looks at the turtles after years away from the human world. So, the brothers decide to get into the New Yorkers’ good graces by doing heroic acts with the help of their new friend April O’Neil. But, unfortunately, the turtles eventually find themselves in trouble against another army of mutants.
The film has an impressive cast list that would spark the interest of many. Shamon Brown Jr. will play Michaelangelo, Nicolas Cantu, Leonardo, Brady Noon, Raphael, Micah Abbey, and Donatello. Seth Rogan plays the villain, and Jackie Chan voices mentor Splinter. In addition, the cast includes Paul Rudd, Rose Bryne, Maya Rudolph, Ice Cube, John Cena, Ayo Edebiri, Hannibal Buress, Post Malone, Giancarlo Esposito, and Natasia Demetriou. Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, and Rogan will be the producers.
The cast for the new movie will feature real teenagers voicing the teenage turtles to accurately match their age. Rogan says, “When I got the opportunity to put my own stamp on it, I knew the versions that had come before had never leaned into the teenager element. We thought: ‘What if we cast actual teenagers and we capture their insane teenager energy?’”
