Paramount+ announced the launch of a mobile-only plan for its streaming service. Starting this April, users in Mexico and Brazil will gain access to the ‘Basic Plan,’ with 79 pesos ($2.80) per month for Mexico and 14.90 reais ($4.20) for Brazil. (Via Deadline)
The catalog will feature the same titles as the standard service. Among these titles, Criminal Minds: Evolution (2022), Tulsa King (2022), Star Trek: Picard (2020), Ink Master (2012), Evil (2019), From Cradle to Stage (2021), iCarly, (2021), Halo (2022), and Are You The One? (2014).
Marco Nobili, Executive Vice President and International General Manager for Paramount + stated on Thursday, “This new offering is part of our broader strategy to scale Paramount+. With multi-tier pricing options, Paramount+ will reach even more subscribers by fitting diverse customer choices and grow our global direct-to-consumer distribution. With mobile entertainment consumption increasing around the world, a mobile-only option will make our slate of programming more accessible to our audiences in mobile-first countries.”
“The competitively priced plan will enable subscribers to stream the service’s mountain of entertainment on one mobile device or tablet at a time, uninterrupted and without ads,” the streamer said. (Via The Hollywood Reporter)
A mobile-only subscription plan for other parts of the world has not yet been confirmed to be on its way.
