Palm Springs International Film Festival Juried Award Winners 2025

From January 2 to January 13, the Palm Springs International Film Festival took place. It revealed its juried award winners on Sunday. The Hollywood Reporter listed the following award winners:

  • The FIPRESCI Prize for Best International Feature Film went to I’m Still Here, directed by Walter Salles.
  • The FIPRESCI Prize for Best International Screenplay went to Vermiglio, directed by Maura Delpero.
  • The FIPRESCI Prize for the Best Actress in an International Feature Film went to Zoe Saldaña for her work in Emilia Pérez.
  • The FIPRESCI Prize for Best Actor in an International Feature Film went to Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Provái for their work in Kneecap.
  • The Best Documentary Award went to No Other Land, directed by Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, and Rachel Szor.
  • The Best Documentary Award Special Mention went to Blue Road – The Edna O’Brien Story, directed by Sinéad O’Shea.
  • The New Voices New Visions Award went to The New Year That Never Came, directed by Bogdan Mureșanu.
  • The New Voices New Visions Special Mention went to Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight, directed by Embeth Davidtz.
  • The Best Narrative Feature Audience Award went to Tinā (Mother), directed by Miki Magasiva.
  • The Best Documentary Feature Audience Award went to Checkpoint Zoo, directed by Joshua Zeman.
  • The Ibero-American Award went to Sujo, directed by Astrid Rondero and Fernanda Valadez.
  • The Ibero-American Special Mention went to Manas, directed by Marianna Brennand.
  • The Desert Views Award Winner was Checkpoint Zoo, directed by Joshua Zeman.
  • The Desert Views Special Mention was Desert Angel, directed by Vincent DeLuca.
  • The Young Cineastes Award Winner was Tatami, directed by Zar Amir Ebrahimi and Guy Nattiv.
  • The Young Cineastes Special Mention was Superboys of Malegaon, directed by Reema Kagti.
  • The Bridging the Borders Award went to Souleymane’s Story, directed by Boris Lojkine.
  • The Bridging the Borders Special Mention went to Happy Holidays, directed by Scandar Copti.

These eighteen different awards are filled with a large variety of unique and diverse films. Everyone involved in these films has shown a large amount of talent. It will be exciting to see what these actors and directors go on to do.
