Painted Poster the First for ‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’

Monday we reported on the moody, elegiac Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, the debut feature from director David Lowery. Today, the internet was treated with a gorgeous new hand-painted poster for the film:

The poster was painted by Benjamin Lowery, director David’s brother, and features characters Ruth Guthrie and Bob Muldoon (played by Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck). Ain’t Them Bodies Saints takes place in Texas, and was shot – given the smoking pistols, perhaps I should ask you pardon the pun –  in Texas and Louisianna.
