Oscars In Memoriam Honors Rob Reiner, Catherine O’Hara, Robert Redfort And Others

The Oscars bring remembrance to actors, writers, producers, makeup artists, directors and other creatives. Billy Crystal starts off by mentioning the works of American filmmaker and film producer Rob Reiner and American photographer Michelle Singer Reiner, who were murdered on December 14, 2025. Films such as When Harry Met Sally, Stand by Me, Misery, The Spinal Top, The Good Men, The American President, The Sure Thing and the Princess Bride were in the background as multiple actors stood hand and hand to honor Reiner. Actors in this gesture include Demi Moore, Annette Bening, Carol Kane, Daphne Zuniga, Kathy Bates, Fred Savage, Kevin Pollak, Cary Elwes, Christopher Guest, John Cusak, Michael McKean, Kiefer Sutherland, Jerry O’Connell, Will Wheaton and Mandy Patinkin. Rachel Adams shared kind words about Catherine O’Hara as they shared similarities in being a Canadian actress and Diane Keaton, who starred with Adams in The Family Stone. Barbra Streisand shared memories she shared with Robert Redfort who passed on Spetember 16, 2025. They were co-stars in the film The Way We Were. Robert Duvall and other creatives were shown on the screen from scenes they played in to pictures of what they looked like and the roles they placed in Hollywood.
