Bernardo Britto is the writer and director of the new film, Omni Loop. This film is a sci-fi dramedy that has been bought by Magnolia Pictures for distribution.
Omni Loop is set to hit theaters this year on Sep. 20 and stars Mary-Louise Parker (Prelude to a Kiss) in her biggest screen appearance to date playing a quantum physicist, and Ayo Edebiri (Bottoms) as the student trying to help save her life. The story follows Parker’s character as she discovers she is trapped in a time loop with a miniature black hole inside her. She is assisted by Edebiri as the two work to unravel the mystery of the time loop and come to terms with the eventual fate of the black hole.
Omni Loop had its premiere at the SXSW film festival in Austin, Texas back in March. The movie was praised for its leading and supporting actress’s performances and unique narrative offering perspectives on coming to terms with death. Critics have enjoyed the film, and it is expected to have a warm welcome at the box office come its opening weekend. Between the blending of genres and the spectacular premises, Britto and Magnolia Pictures are sure to dazzle audiences come fall with Omni Loop in theaters.
