Olivia Munn has been confirmed to star in action film titled Replay, which will be presented for purchase at the Cannes Virtual Marche by The Exchange according to Deadline. The film will be written and directed by Jimmy Loweree of Absence, with production being handled by Munn herself alongside Ethan Erwin and Hal Sadoff of Dark Castle Entertainment.
The story of Replay revolves around Erin Staffer, who discovers her husband has been kidnapped and eventually murdered. Heavily armed and reeking of vengeance, Erin devises a plan and to alter past events and prevent his murder.
Dark Castle currently has two films in post-production: Simon Barrett’s directorial debut Seance featuring Suki Waterhouse, and The Expecting, directed by Mary Harron and featuring Anna-Sophia Robb. The company will also begin production on another film titled Esther in August, which serves as a prequel to the hit 2009 horror feature Orphan.
