Stealing Pulp Fiction, a Danny Turkiewicz-directed heist comedy, has been picked up for international sales by Odin’s Eye Entertainment, according to Variety.
The film follows a ragtag group attempting to steal Quentin Tarantino’s personal 35mm copy of his 1994 film Pulp Fiction. The comedy comes from the group’s mishaps as they delve further into the heist. It is an adaptation of Turkiewicz’s 2020 short film of the same name.
Stealing Pulp Fiction’s ensemble cast includes Karan Soni (Deadpool & Wolverine, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), Jason Alexander (known for his role as George Costanza on Seinfeld), Cazzie David (The Umbrella Academy) and Jon Rudnitsky (Saturday Night Live, Catch-22).
Michael Favelle, CEO of Odin’s Eye Entertainment, spoke positively about the distribution of Stealing Pulp Fiction. “This one’s got ‘cult classic’ written all over it. Distributors are going to have a blast with Stealing Pulp Fiction,” he said. Praising the comedy and referencing the work that inspired its creation, he added, “It’s packed with wonderful laugh-out-loud moments, and we can’t wait to present this at AFM to buyers hungry for a real cinematic ‘Royale with Cheese.’”
The film premiered Oct. 19 at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Giant Pictures will handle its domestic theatrical release in early 2025. It will be sold to international buyers at the American Film Market in Las Vegas.
This year, Odin’s Eye Entertainment also acquired rights to the prop documentary Mad Props, and its animation department acquired rights to the adult animation Weird Kidz.
