Following its successful theatrical run, Nosferatu‘s digital and Blu-ray release dates have been revealed. Written and directed by Robert Eggers, the film is essentially a remake of the 1992 horror, inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It details Count Orlok, played by Bill Skarsgård, and his obsession with the haunted Ellen, played by Lily-Rose Depp. The film has garnered a lot of positive reviews and has been successful at the box office, grossing $156 million worldwide.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has confirmed that Nosferatu is now available to purchase or rent on VOD. It is available on most major online streaming services, including Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google Play, Microsoft Movies, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, and Movies Anywhere.
For anyone looking to collect the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, or DVD versions of the movie, you have to wait a tad bit longer, as that date is set for February 18. Both the digital and physical media versions of the movie will come with tons of bonus features, including an extended cut and a feature commentary with Eggers. With a critics’ score of 84% and an audience score of 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, it is still unclear if this film will go down as Eggers’ best film. But with the addition of the extended cut, more fans may start to consider it.
