North Korea Behind Sony Hack

As being reported by Deadline, CNN, CNBC, and host of other sources, U.S. officials have determined that North Korea is behind the recent cyber attack on Sony, which has specifically targeted the upcoming film The Interview. An official announcement from the U.S. Justice Department is expected as early as tomorrow. The plot of the movie, which Sony just cancelled the release of altogether, of course portrays the fictional assassination of real North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. Reportedly, the FBI has determined that North Korean leaders ordered the attack on Sony, though the identity and nationality of the actual hackers is not yet know, or has not yet been released. If true, the political implications of this story are obviously immense. For our original coverage on North Korea’s reaction to The Interview, click here.
