New Trailer for ‘Bill and Ted: Face The Music’ With New On Demand Release Date

In a summer of very few releases due to Covid-19, Orion Pictures is still trying to this summer a bit more worthwhile for movie fans in 2020. As they still plan to release the long awaited third installment to the iconic 80s franchise, Bill and Ted with Bill and Ted: Face the Music, set to be released both digitally and in theaters on the same day for September 1st. In preparation for their upcoming new release, Orion released the second trailer for the upcoming 80s revival film showcasing more footage of the excellent adventure years in the making.

The trailer starts out with Bill and Ted(Keanu Reeves and Alex Winters), who are now older and the parents of two young girls. The two are lectured by Ted’s father (Hal Landon Jr.) as he demands them to be better role models for their children by not being fixated on past delusions and getting real jobs.  While Bill and Ted are a bit discouraged with their current living situation, a mysterious woman named Kelly (Kristen Schaal) arrives from the future to take them to the great leader. The leader demands that they must perform a new song by Preston and Logan in order to save reality as well know it. Throughout the rest of the trailer we see a lot of crazy antics from meeting famous artists like Kid Cudi, facing off against the Grim Reaper,  and even a trip to hell where they somehow come across their daughters there and fortunately feeling fine despite their situation.

The film seems to have a lot of the energy and excitement that the original films had to offer, this time with a more modern aesthetic with more effects and set pieces this time around. While there is still an uncertainty of theaters all over the world being able to open at this time, the fact that Face the Music is getting a digital release simultaneously is a good way for everyone to get access to the film despite not all theaters being open. Either way, Bill and Ted’s newest adventure being able to be release on both streaming and theaters on the same day could potentially make this summer less bogus.

Bill and Ted: Face the Music is set for release on digital and theaters September 1st 2020.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
