New Poster Reveal for ‘Frozen 2’ Ahead of Trailer Debut

With Frozen 2 expecting to be one of Disney’s biggest hits of 2019, the marketing campaign decided to reveal more than just its release date and upcoming trailer. Frozen 2 released its first official poster and, much like the first teaser trailer, emphasizes the sequel’s more adventurous and potentially darker tone.

The poster features Anna and Elsa standing next to one another in a misty forest that was seen in the original trailer. Much like the teaser, this new poster markets the sequel differently compared to the original Frozen, with a more mysterious atmosphere and more focus on the sisters as opposed to Olaf. This suggests a shift away from comedy and Disney cuteness, which misled early moviegoers about the 2013 film’s tone. This new poster was released with an announcement for when fans can witness the next trailer for the highly anticipated animated film. The trailer is set to premiere tomorrow on Good Morning America, mostly likely being accommodated with the release of Toy Story 4. Whatever the outcome may be for Frozen 2‘s trailer, animation fans will certainly be interested after the awe that the first trailer for Frozen 2 gave them.

Frozen 2 will see the return of Adina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Satino Fontana and Josh Gad. The film is set for release on November 22nd 2019.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
