Variety has reported that Jordan Peele’s next film has set a release date for Christmas of 2024. While there is absolutely zero information on the film, Universal Pictures has added an “Untitled Fourth Film Directed By Jordan Peele” to its release calendar on December 25, 2024. The film’s release will be sandwiched between James Cameron’s third Avatar film and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Universal Pictures also moved up the release of the much-anticipated Wicked adaptation from Christmas to Thanksgiving.
Peele has established himself as a master in the horror genre, earning an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his debut film Get Out. After the success of Get Out in 2017, Peele released Us in 2019, and just last year released the western sci-fi horror Nope. His films have accumulated more than $600 million worldwide.
Universal has also scheduled an untitled Monkeypaw (Peele’s production company) film to release on Sept. 27, 2024, and it took an untitled animated event film off its calendar.
Aside from directing, Peele has also produced films such as Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman and Mia DaCosta’s Candyman remake, and stared in the Comedy Central show Key & Peele.
