New Featurette for ‘Into the Woods’ Realeased as the Holiday Season Nears

With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about the holiday movies coming out in the next few months, and that includes the Stephen Sondheim adaptation Into the Woods starring an ensemble of Hollywood royalty.This featurette takes us more in-depth than the previous trailer released a few months ago (seen here). As this movie is really an adaptation of Sondheim’s Broadway play also called Into the Woods, the cast and filmmakers speak to the audience about bringing this world to the screen from the stage and how the music and the cast together added up to something more than just the parts themselves.

Starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick, and Chris Pine among many others, the musical fantasy promises to be a bewitching experience. Into the Woods brings together all of the most famous Grimm characters into one setting, and sets them off against each other as they attempt to get their own wishes granted. The movie will be released on Christmas Day, 2014.
