New ‘Fear Street’ Film Reveals Release Date In A Teaser Trailer

A new teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming film Fear Street: Prom Queen. This film marks the fourth adaptation of a book from R.L. Stine’s Fear Street series. The three previous films, made by Netflix as well, were a trilogy, released just weeks apart in 2021. This fourth film appears to be a single release and not part of another trilogy, although it will likely still take place in the Fear Street universe and more specifically, the town of Shadyside.

The teaser trailer released for Fear Street: Prom Queen features the legendary R.L. Stine. As he sits down, he says, “Most people would say that killing teenagers is not a good thing, but here I am, and here you are, for another chapter of Fear Street.”

The trailer, which has appeared on the official YouTube of IGN, has a few extra words in the description of the video that tease the movie as well:

When the “it” girls competing for prom queen at Shadyside High start to disappear, a gutsy outsider discovers she’s in for one hell of a prom night.

Fear Street: Prom Queen is set for a Netflix release on May 23rd. You can also find the other Fear Street films on Netflix.
