New ‘Doctor Strange’ Feature Goes “Inside the Magic”

To whet our appetites ahead of its November release, Marvel has unleashed a new featurette taking us behind-the-scenes of their latest concoction Doctor Strange. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) as the titular medical practitioner – whose fall from grace leads to a grander, more superheroic calling – in what looks to be Marvel’s trippiest entry to date, and perhaps one of their more risky. So let’s take a look inside the so so strange, magical world of Doctor Strange.

Directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), who also co-authored the screenplay, and based on the comic book creation originally sparked form Steve Ditko, Doctor Strange looks to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe in craft, innovation and metaphysics. The film also boosts one of their strongest ensembles to date – including Oscar winner Tilda Swinton (A Bigger Splash), Oscar nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years Slave) and Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) as well as Mads Mikkelsen (The Hunt), Michael Stuhlbarg (Steve Jobs) and Amy Landecker (Transparent).

Doctor Strange will hit theaters on November 4th.
