For those fans not content with Marvel’s recent extended trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron, a behind the scenes featurette will be attached to the studio’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Blu-ray release. Guardians hits shelves on November 18th, but you can get a look at the featurette now.
The behind the scenes footage features producer Kevin Feige and writer-director Joss Whedon detailing their plans for making the film a global event. The locations ranged from England to South Africa to South Korea, the scope of which is fitting, since the fate of the planet is at stake. The film finds Robert Downy Jr’s Tony Stark (Ironman) attempting to reboot a dormant peacekeeping treaty with the help, and sometimes resistance, of his Avengers partners. The team, including Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Helmsworth) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), are called upon to unite in an effort to stop Ultron (voiced by James Spader), who is threatening to use the team’s technological advances to conquer the world. Ultron’s surge to power brings to light the best -and worst – in our heroes, as they weigh friendships, allegiances, and alliances against their duty to save the planet.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
