With less than a month until the film’s release, a new poster for Mickey 17, the next film by Parasite director Bong Joon-Ho starring Robert Pattinson, has been revealed. The sci-fi film follows Pattinson as a man who agrees to be cloned multiple times for a corporation that uses his body for scientific research and experimentation as they attempt to colonize an alien planet. This new poster depicts this premise by showing the different versions of Robert Pattinson’s “expendable” clone worker, Mickey. The poster advertises the film screening in 4DX. This premium theatrical format consists of custom auditoriums that feature seats that move, rumble, and vibrate, as well as a variety of other multi-sensory tools, such as water/scent sprays, wind machines, airflow, bubbles, and strobe lights, as a way to create a more immersive theatrical experience.
Mickey 17 also stars Steven Yeun, Naomi Akkie, Mark Ruffalo, and Toni Collette. It is written and directed by Bong-Joon-Ho and is adapted from the book Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton. The film was initially slated to be released on March 29th of last year before being delayed four times. It will now be released in 4DX theaters as well as other premium and standard formats in the US and other territories on March 7th, 2025
