Neve Campbell has just revealed she will reprise her iconic role as Sidney Prescott in the next Scream installment. In a recent interview, the actress went over her upcoming projects, which included the far-away Scream 8. She went on to say, “I can never tell you anything about Scream 8.” However, she did clarify right after, “I’ll be in it!”

Neve Campbell has been the lead of the Scream franchise since the original back in 1996. Since then, she has starred as Sidney Prescott in every Scream film besides Scream VI, where she famously skipped out on over a salary dispute. After that film, Paramount and Spyglass fired Melissa Barrera, the lead of Scream V and VI and asked Campbell to return for 7.

Scream 8 will be written by Lilla and Nora Zuckerman (Poker Face). No director has been revealed yet, but Kevin Williamson, who directed 7 and wrote the original film, confirmed he could not be returning. The film was announced to be in development shortly after Scream 7 but no details were given. Stay tuned for more updates on Scream 8.
