The highly anticipated rom-com sequel, Kissing Booth 2, is set to premiere on Netflix on July 24.
The streaming service revealed the premiere date through its star, Joey King. During a live video call, King worked on a puzzle with guests periodically popping in and out of the call. When the puzzle was finished, it created a poster of the film, revealing the premiere date to all the viewers.
The film brings us back into Elle’s (Joey King) life as her boyfriend, Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi), heads off to Harvard while Elle stays behind to finish her senior year in high school. Elle is wracked with stress, and she and her best friend (Joel Courtney) work to get into their dream colleges, all while Elle juggles her long-distance relationship with Noah. But Elle and Noah’s relationship is tested as Elle befriends a new classmate, and Noah seemingly finds the perfect girl at college.
In addition to the already mentioned castmembers, Molly Ringwald will also star in the film.
The rom-com is directed by Vince Marcello, who also directed the original film. Marcello also co-wrote the script with Jay Arnold.
The script is adapted from a YA novel of the same name written by Beth Reekles.
