

Ne Zha 2 is an animated movie that made waves in China. The movie gained a lot of popularity and acclaim. Now, Ne Zha 2 will make its debut in the U.S. and other countries.
The Hollywood Reporter gathered information on the upcoming U.S. premiere. The film was directed by Yang Yu, who is also known as Jiaozi. It is “the long-awaited sequel to 2019’s Ne Zha, a modern reimagining of the mythological Chinese folk hero that became a cultural phenomenon and a milestone for Chinese animation. Ne Zha 2 builds on that legacy with a continuation of the saga, blending high-concept storytelling with even more impressive visual spectacle.”
When Ne Zha 2 is released in the U.S. it will be dubbed in English. Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh is joining the cast for the English version. Yeoh said “I’m honored to be part of Ne Zha 2, a landmark in Chinese animation and a powerful reminder of how universal our stories can be…Sharing this with audiences in English is such a joy, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience the wonder, heart, spectacular artistry, and magic of this film on the big screen.”
Yeoh is not alone in her love for the film as it became the world’s top-grossing animated movie of all time. It earned $2.2 billion at the box office.
On August 22 there is a chance for even more people to fall in love with the movie. It will premiere in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand in English. You can watch Ne Zha 2 in Imax or 3D.
