Natasha Lyonne Has Finished Filming For ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, Can’t Disclose Which Character She Played

Shortly after the main cast for The Fantastic Four: First Steps was revealed, several supporting characters were cast in the Marvel Studios reboot in undisclosed roles.

Some believe Paul Walter Hauser will portray the villainous Mole Man, and there’s been speculation that John Malkovich will play Doctor Franklin Storm, the father of Johnny and Sue Storm.  Regarding Natasha Lyonne, the most popular theory is that she will be Ben Grimm’s love interest Alicia Masters. But, there is also speculation she could provide the voice for H.E.R.B.I.E the robot.

Whoever the Poker Face star is portraying, she revealed she has finished filming her scenes for the movie. In a brief interview with ET, she was asked about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and shared her excitement about being part of the franchise. But, she was careful to not disclose and details. “I’m old enough to know that the whole thing is a gift and gravy and rare and [I’m] taking it in stride,” she said.

The first trailer for the film has not been officially released yet, but there have been videos that have leaked online from its debut at San Diego Comic-Con.

Marvel’s first family is made up of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka The Thing.

Julia Garner will debut as Shala-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer character, while Galactus has been confirmed as the main villain and will be played by Ralph Ineson. Kevin Feige recently confirmed the movie will take place in an alternate universe, but with The Fantastic Four being confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, it is safe to assume they will find a way to the main timeline of the MCU.

The film began production in late July. Matt Shakman directs, and is set to his theaters on July 25, 2025.
