At the beginning of October, we were given our first look at Fox Searchlight’s Jackie, starring Natalie Portman, in the form of a teaser trailer. Now, just roughly one month later, the first official trailer has been released.
Emotionally stirring are the words that come to mind after viewing the most recent trailer. The film follows First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, days after the assassination of her husband, president John F. Kennedy. Director Pablo Larrain and writer Noah Oppenheim paint an intimate portrait while chronicling the courage and poise of a mother and wife trying to carry on the legacy of her late husband.
Reviews for Jackie have remained positive, with Portman receiving much praise for her portrayal of the First Lady. The film also stars Peter Sarsgaard as Robert Kennedy, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, John Hurt, Richard E. Grant, and John Carroll Lynch.
Keep an eye out for more info. Jackie opens December 2. Enjoy the trailer below.
