Naomie Harris Set To Lead In New Cop Film ‘Black And Blue’

Naomie Harris is set to lead Deon Taylor’s new film, Black And Blue, according to Deadline. Harris has starred in films such as Moonlight, 28 Days Later, Skyfall and most recently Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle. The plot revolves around a rookie cop (Harris) in New Orleans who witnesses corrupt officers murdering a drug dealer, an event that is captured by her body cam. When they then fail to execute her she escapes and is hunted throughout the night by the narcs who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.

The director, Deon Taylor, also directed the films Meet The Blacks, Dead Tone, and Supremacy. Screenwriter Peter A. Dowling also wrote the films Flightplan starring Jodie Foster, Reasonable Doubt starring Samuel L. Jackson, and Sacrifice starring Radha Mitchell. Although the details are thin on the ground at the moment, Harris is a more than capable actress. She has proven before that can be a strong yet vulnerable character and she is able to bring so much to the table with her performance.

The film has no release date or any other actors that have been announced but Mxdwn movies will be on top of any new updates to come.

Keidan Chavez: I am an undergraduate attending Whittier College majoring in screen writing and journalism. I love to watch movies, play Red Dead Redemption 2 and read whenever I get the chance. I will watch anything related to Wright, Tarantino, The Coen Brothers or Nolan. I will also play anything made by Naughty Dog or Rockstar Games. I love being able to experience great stories, especially when I am able to share that experience with others. I also love learning about movies and sharing that knowledge to those that are just as passionate.
