Paramount Pictures has just announced some new voice cast members for The Angry Birds Movie 3. Many of the cast members from the previous films will be returning, including Jason Sudeikis as Red, Danny McBride as Bomb, Josh Gad as Chuck and Rachel Bloom as Silver.
Headlining the new cast members is popular YouTuber Mr. Beast, or Jimmy Donaldson. He has over 400 million subscribers on YouTube, and will be very recognizable for a younger audience. he previously sported cameo voice roles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Kung Fu Panda 4. Additionally, Paramount announced a slew of other voice actors for the film. These include Keke Palmer (Nope, One of Them Days), Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave, Friendship), Emma Myers (Wednesday, A Minecraft Movie), Lily James (Baby Driver, Cinderella) and Walker Skobell (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Adam Project).
The Angry Birds Movie 3 will be produced by Paramount Pictures. The first two films came from Sony Pictures Animation, meaning the film rights for the mobile game franchise have shifted around. Additonally, the release date for the film has been moved up to December 23, 2026 from its original window in 2027. Angry Birds is an extremely popular mobile game franchise from Rovio Entertainment and Sega, with the first game releasing back in 2010. The game became a mega hit and received multiple sequels over the next few years. However, Angry Birds was already long past its peak in popularity when the first film hit theaters, so it will be interesting to see if there is still an audience for a third movie over 15 years later.
