Star Wars returns to theater screens next year with the release of The Mandalorian & Grogu, the film continuation of the Disney+ series. With the film also comes several returning characters from the Star Wars mythos, but fans are wondering if they’ll see any from The Book Of Boba Fett.
The Book Of Boba Fett took place side by side with The Mandalorian, picking up the story of Boba Fett after he helps Din Djarin retrieve Grogu from the clutches of the imperial remnants. Following that, Fett would go on to take control of the crime scene on Tatooine, with bounty hunter Fennec Shand at his side.
Shand, introduced in The Mandalorians first season, was played by Ming-Na Wen. She’d go on to reprise the role of the character in Book Of Boba Fett, as well as in The Bad Batch as well.
Given how much The Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett, with each titular character appearing in the others show, many are wondering if Fett or Shand will make it to the big screen once Mandalorian & Grogu comes out. Screenrant, however, confirmed whether Shand herself would be back or not.
Simply put, when prompted with the topic of her return, she said, “I mean, I’m not in it, but if I can be that would be great.” She followed it up with her hopes that she can come back one day, saying that she misses the role as much as some fans miss the character.
The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters May 2026.
