Michelle Pfeiffer and Annette Bening will star in the thriller Turn of Mind. The film will be directed by Gideon Raff and will be an adaptation of Alice LaPlante’s 2011 New York Times bestseller.
The plot will focus on a retired orthopedic doctor who has been suffering from Alzheimer’s and has been accused of killing a person. She attempts to figure out whether she did commit the act or if someone is framing her. Viewers may be able to feel the experience she undergoes in the face of this stressful situation since it might be told from her perspective just like it is presented in the novel. “Turn of Mind is an edge of your seat emotional thriller,” Raff said. “A story of a warped friendship between two brilliant, sharp, forceful women who are bonded equally by their love for and jealousy of one other.”
The film will be on the market at the Cannes Film Festival this month. Raff, Gail Berman, and Rory Koslow will be producing.
Pfeiffer was recently involved in Murder on the Orient Express and Ant-man and the Wasp. She will be starring in Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as Queen Ingris. Bening was featured in Captain Marvel and The Report.
